Born in Dana Point, California, Melinda Clarke was raised by her ballet dancer mother Patricia and actor father John. At the age of 18 she moved to L.A. and launched her career in acting and modeling.
In 1991 she appeared in the comedy movie Hot Under the Collar. In 1993 she appeared in the movie Young Goodman Brown and in 1994 she appeared in the movie Return to Two Moon Junction. About three years after Hot Under the Collar, she landed the role as Julie Walker on the movie Return of The Living Dead 3, and won an award at the Fangora Chainsaw Awards for her excellent performance in this movie. She also won a Best Actress Award from the 1996 Sitges Fantasy Film Festival in Spain for her performance in Killer Tongue.
In 1997 she appeared in the shows, "Xena Warrior Princess," "Nash Bridges," "Sliders," "The George Carlin Show," "Seinfeld," and did two movies, "Spawn" and "Critics Choice and Other Freaks."
Although she turned down a role in Scream because she was not sure she wanted to do horror, we all know her best from her roles in Return of The Living Dead 3 and Killer Tongue.
